Gelatissimo FruChoc returns for Adelaide Fringe

By Tony Polese · On February 12, 2021

Gelatissimo To Launch New FruChocs Sundae
for Adelaide Fringe

After the popularity of last year’s FruChocs gelato flavour, Gelatissimo has again partnered with the beloved South Australian icon. This year they’re offering a decadent FruChocs Sundae, available for a limited time only, during Adelaide Fringe.

Taking all the deliciously unexpected components that make the popular FruChoc so iconic, Gelatissimo’s FruChocs gelato is a choc-peach gelato mixed with diced apricot chunks and chocolate drizzle and topped with a single FruChoc – a delicious combination that delivers a hit of that oh-so familiar flavour.

The newly released Sundae takes the experience to a whole new level, offering two scoops of FruChocs gelato, chocolate topping, a sprinkling of dried apricots, a swirl of whipped cream and finished with four FruChocs – a truly indulgent way to enjoy this iconic South Australian treat.

“After the popularity of the FruChocs Gelato last year, we wanted to take things to the next level and create a fun and delicious dessert for the Fringe, so it was a natural fit for us to collaborate with FruChocs again,” said Gelatissimo CEO, Filipe Barbosa. “FruChocs are an absolute SA institution, but we think we’ve done them justice with our new FruChocs Sundae.”

Polly Love, Marketing Manager at Robern Menz agreed saying, “After the success of last year, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Gelatissimo again, and what better time to indulge in this delicious flavour combo than during Adelaide Fringe? We know South Aussies are going to be eager to get their hands on the FruChoc Sundaes and we have a feeling we’ll have some new interstate FruChoc fans after Fringe visitors try this match made in heaven.”

The FruChocs flavour will be available exclusively across all four Adelaide stores (Glenelg, Gouger Street, Norwood and Rundle Street) for the duration of Adelaide Fringe (8 February to 21 March 2021), as well as at the Gelatissimo pop-up stall at the Rundle Park.
