There’s never been a better time to explore South Australia’s dynamic food and beverage scene than right now. And Tasting Australia is a celebration of premium eating and drinking in Adelaide and beyond.
Tasting Australia is when, and where, foodies come to discover what’s new on the menu.
For the first time, Tasting Australia will be extended over ten days – from 13-22 April 2018; ten days when Adelaide and surrounding regions will really come to life as a mecca for food and beverage experiences. But it’s just the icing on the cake of the city’s already thriving bar and restaurant scene.
We were recently awarded Gourmet Traveller’s Restaurant of the Year – the title going to Restaurant Orana – for the first time in 20 years. The Good Food Guide awarded hats to 13 South Australian restaurants for 2017 from Hentley Farm and Appellation in the Barossa through to Osteria Oggi and Shobosho in the City. Africola was named Adelaide’s Best Restaurant by The Advertiser… and the accolades just keep coming.
Then there are the quiet achievers, too. Jasmin Indian restaurant has been pumping since Tasting Australia 2017 star Marco Pierre White deemed his meal there ‘probably one of the best of my life’. Parwana satisfies the masses day in, day out and the state’s regional gems – like The Salopian Inn and The Summertown Aristologist – regularly pop-up on ‘must visit’ lists.
But the BEST time to visit, discover and explore is undoubtedly during Tasting Australia.
Drawing on South Australia’s best chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, distillers, brewers and producers and shaking them up with some of the world’s hottest talent, Tasting Australia 2018 will fill you with delicious flavours and rich memories.
In 2018 the Glasshouse Kitchen – Tasting Australia’s showpiece restaurant – and festival hub Town Square will return to delight and satisfy guests. Glasshouse Kitchen will welcome international, national and local chefs, who will together create unforgettable evenings for diners. Meanwhile, Town Square will be buzzing with smoky aromas from Charred, curious minds and full glasses clinking.
Join us for the adventure; keep an eye out for our first release of events this weekend on tastingaustralia.com.au and start planning your culinary tour with Tasting Australia.
See you in 2018!
