If someone is looking for an enjoyable night out, they don’t need to look any further than the up-and-coming Paloma Bar and Pantry located in Adelaide’s Peel St.
The brighter ambience differs to the other venues darker, wooden-like appearances along Peel St, making it a warmer, lighter, more approachable place where one can relax with a drink in hand or enjoy some light platters with friends. With a welcoming service area downstairs and a relaxed seating area upstairs, all accompanied by enjoyable music, one can’t resist being drawn in by the ambience of the venue.
Over the past 4 months that Paloma Bar and Pantry has been operating in Adelaide, they’ve made every endeavour to stand out, altering their menus and selections, trying to give the public a varied exposure to fabulous drinks and spectacular foods. They focus on quality; sourcing only the best and prioritising local produce when able to, giving back to the community beyond their quality of service.
Paloma features a “Rotational Menu” system, changing various aspects of their menu selection depending on seasonal taste and availability, ensuring that their customers have wide access to a variety of food and drinks that will simply make their evening. Of course there are a few champion items which remain on the menu all year round, so you’re guaranteed familiar comforts when viewing their selection.
The staff at Paloma are excellent in pairing a selection, with each staff member encouraged to focus on their own personal tastes while working together to ensure that each one is able to help the customer find what combo will give them the most enjoyable experience.
One can look forward to a nice dry White Wine such as the Loureiro by Quinta do Ameal who’s Light and Subtly Sweet flavours are accentuated by a pairing with salty anchovies, smoky capsicum and tangy capers.
Or perhaps one would rather enjoy the combo of Chevre d’Aquitaine cheese with Red Wine-poached Quince that is so fresh and encapsulating, one finds it hard to even pull away for a drink, but when they do are graced with the juicy, savoury, and ripe flavours of the ever-present medium-bodied Red Wine, The Iberian, from Coates, sourced from South Australia’s very own McLaren Vale.
Even if you’re just interested in winding down with a drink after work with the mates and the girls, Paloma provides a wide selection in Beers, Wines, Spritz’s and Specialty Cocktails such as
The Golden Hour, a Rum-based cocktail who’s Ginger Sharpness is smoothed out by the Sweet and Tangy fruit flavours of Lime and fresh Pineapple making it a drink so enjoyed, it’s currently in the Bacardi Legacy Top 30 in Australia.
All in all, Paloma Bar and Pantry is able to cater to any evening; from work drinks on Friday evening to private function hires of the upstairs area. There is no doubt that the longer Paloma resides in Adelaide, they will not stop advancing their excellence in service.
