Mexican Society has introduced a new vegan menu, as the rise in popularity and demand for vegan dining continues for both vegan and non-vegan diners.
The vegan menu uses Mexican staples that offer an abundance of colour, and an immersion of flavour in the way the dishes are prepared and cooked.
Ingredients such as beetroots, tofu, kale, pistachios, eggplant, avocado and pomegranate are some of the bold and textural inclusions which make for a vibrant selection of meals; while still making up the core elements for a truly mouth-watering ‘traditional’ Mexican feast.
“This menu is a reinvention of the standard Mexican blackboard, catering for the modern Australian and changing consumer trends,” said Chef Axel Torres Villa.
Vegan and Mexican is a combination that works incredibly well with Chef Axel creating food that can still be described as full-bodied Mexican meals. He said, “I love that people here are so eager to embrace new menus and try something a little out of the ordinary. I think we have something unique here that everyone will appreciate.”
The Pistachio Mole Winter Vegetable is the perfect plate of deliciousness with zucchini, brussel sprouts, beetroot, carrots and snow peas all combined with a toasty nutty and amazingly creamy flavour from the pistachios – this not only looks incredible, the taste is a whole new world of flavour and experience.
Tostaditas, enchiladas and smoked guacamole dishes have been embraced in this menu, allowing the vegan diner to experience all the best of traditional Mexican style street food.
The Elote – is another incredible dish of grilled corn, tajin, vegan cheese and chipotle – these single flavours all melding into a gigantic mouthful of flavours. And Yolanda’s eggplant, inspired by home cooking in Mexico, is a creamy eggplant dish with tomato, jalapeno and capsicum salsa – it is a dish that you won’t want to share.
The menu appeals to Vegan diners, but also people who are not vegan, the flavours, and the range makes these dishes easily shared by the both. The set menu is an incredible $40 per head for a minimum of two diners.
Come to sample a wide selection of the new plant-based dishes and get ready to be blown away with bright, bold and bracing flavours.
