Foodwood – Pamper your taste buds at this Nepalese and Indian delight

By Tony Polese · On December 8, 2020

Goodwood is certainly coming up with the goods! New restaurant Foodwood is the brainchild of owner Bishal Pant specialising in a fusion of Nepalese and Indian cuisines. After the lockdown of COVID-19 where he had plenty of time to think about which direction to take his career; continue study or open a restaurant, the dream of Foodwood won and aren’t we all glad!

Bishal has had plenty of hospitality experience with seven years under his belt so it wasn’t hard to take on the task of running his own place. With the help of his Chef who also has thirty five years hospitality experience, all the dishes on the extensive menu are full of fresh and traditional flavours.

The dishes we tried were such standouts – Chicken Dumplings (MO:MO:) served with a traditional Nepalese chutney, Prawn Kadai and the Goat Curry with sides of rice and naan bread. High quality food with loads of traditional flavours.

Foodwood can cater for everyone’s dietary requirements so all you Vegans, Vegetarians and Gluten Free foodies can let them know before ordering and they can adjust most menu items to your needs. If you can’t visit in person, they also do take-away and free delivery within a 3km radius! Catering is also available on request for parties big or small. Bishal assures us catering up to 2000 people is no problem.

On the day we visited there was a local couple who dined there once a week since it opened and gave Foodwood the thumbs up for taste, flavour and service. That says it all. You can’t argue with that kind of loyalty!

Like the motto says, “Pampering your taste buds!”
