21 September 2016: Variety on King William, the hottest fashion ticket in town, has announced that the 2016 theme is ESCAPE TO THE ORIENT, celebrating Adelaide’s ongoing love affair with China. Guests will enjoy a beautiful fashion show on Adelaide’s longest runway. Expect to see the latest Spring/Summer ready to wear trends with a focus on race-wear and party dressing from King William Road retailers.
The show will have touches of the orient and be perfectly styled for the fashion conscious audience. The three-course menu will have a Chinese influence, oozing spring flavours prepared by some of King William Road’s best restaurants and food suppliers. Food will be matched with South Australian wines from Tomich Wines, Wicks Estate and Fox Gordon. Guests can expect wonderful entertainment throughout the day. John Karran, Spokesperson for the Variety on King William Steering Group and owner of Karrans of Hyde Park said it was a credit to the fashion and food retailers who have come together to present this terrific event. “Our traders have worked tirelessly and collaboratively over the past few months, making sure we continue to raise the bar so that this event turns the spotlight onto our road. We want to remind people about the benefits of shopping local – there are a number of independent retailers on the road and that means unique products for the discerning shopper! “We are also proud that this event supports Variety SA – The Children’s Charity and the great work they do with SA kids,” he said. Mark McGill, CEO of Variety SA – the Children’s Charity said that this event was a terrific platform to promote key messages to a new audience about the important work Variety do. “We are focused on empowering South Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to thrive in our society. Events like Variety on King William help us promote the important work we do, and help us provide a vibrant future for South Australian kids in need,” he said. Events like this couldn’t happen without the princely support of some other generous Adelaide businesses.
The City of Unley is joined by other principal partners like: The Adelaide Fashion Festival, Fotobase, LB Events, Haley Renee Photography and White Marquee to name a few! Adelaide’s favorite long lunch has sold out for the past three years, so get in quick to avoid disappointment.
