Carl’s Jr. introduces a Big Brekkie menu in Mt Barker

By Christie Thompson · On December 26, 2017

Just before the Christmas madness we had the chance to review the freshly added breakfast menu at Mount Barker’s newest burger joint, Carl’s Jr.

Since the opening back in July, Carl’s Jr. has been a hotspot for fast food lovers that have grown tired of the everyday burger. A household name in the United States for over 75 years, Carl’s Jr. has only recently settled in South Australia and is set to lay some roots in Kilburn in mid January for those closer to town.

The breakfast menu boasts a variety of brekkie burgers, platters and ‘hash rounds’ with an array of drinks including some seriously rich milkshakes. Just to make sure we achieved a sound understanding of the menu, we naturally ordered almost everything. Amongst our greedy selection was the Breakfast Burger (hash browns in the burger – say no more), the Brekkie BBQ Bacon and Egg, a platter of hotcakes and bacon with every drink they would give us.
Our verdict? Pretty damn good! The selection is a major step up from other fast food breakfast options in Adelaide (we wont name any names, but you know the ones). While this menu probably isn’t suited for the smoothie bowl brunching types, the speedy cooking times and user-friendly packaging make these hearty breakfast options perfect for filling your tummy on the go – or perhaps when you’ve got a hangover on New Years Day.

The breakfast menu is served daily until 10:30am, but if you’re not an early bird you can still get your hands on the Breakfast Burger all day long!
Carl’s Jr is located at lot 2 Dutton Rd & Gawler St, Mount Barker. For the full menu, Click here.
