Michelle Pearson brings another instalment of her part-cabaret, part cooking lesson, Comfort Food Cabaret to the Adelaide Fringe.
Michelle and her amazing backup band sing well known hits with a change of the lyrics to create the storyline about the life and times of Michelle in recent times.
In between these songs comes the cooking lessons and the crowd is given a taste to an entree, mains and dessert.
For the Entree was Seared Eggplant with a garnish of pomegranate, mint, Weber-smoked pepitas, feta & parsley. The Mains was a Charcoal Chicken with home-made flat bread, garlic hummus and pickled red onions and the dessert was a smoked Apple ice cream with nuts.
The songs and the storyline complemented the dishes perfectly and Michelle has an emphasis that these meals are quick and easy to make at home.
The Weber Grill Academy runs cooking experiences during the year and was a fantastic venue for this event as all the recipes were cooked using the Weber BBQs.
You will feel many emotions during this show and the food brings those emotions out even more only the way Michelle and her band can. The fringe season is now over however Comfort Food Cabaret will be back for Tasting Australia in May.
