Long-time lovers of Adelaide’s favourite Mediterranean restaurant, Levant Eatery, will be taking over the CBD as the iconic Hindley Streey haunt launches its second locale.
A staple of Adelaide’s West End food culture, Levant Eatery is a favourite among university students, busy businesspeople and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital’s huge staffing team. Now, having conquered the West, Owner, Husam Al-Sweedy, is bringing the distinctive flavours and unbeatable service of the family-run establishment to the heart of the CBD.
With unbeatable lunchtime options, a reputable brand and a cult-like following, this year presented the perfect opportunity for Levant Eatery to expand.
Situated on Pirie St, Levant Eatery’s new location represents a dynamic fusion of sumptuous middle-eastern food and vibrant culture in bustling city setting.
“After three years of love and support at our Hindley Street restaurant, we decided it was time to bring Levant Eatery to the CBD,” says Husam, “we specifically picked this location to cater for the office staff who were making the trek to the West End for lunch each day.”
The food philosophy at Levant Eatery is simple: delicious, uncomplicated offerings served fresh and packed full of flavour. Inspired by Middle Eastern street food, Levant Eatery’s menu boasts creative combinations of flavoursome healthy salads, chargrilled meats and tasty house-made sauces.
“We understand that, for the CBD crowd, time is of the essence – that’s why we focus on offering freshly baked bread and grilled protein at a quick pace,” Husam says, “our aim is to bring our customers quality food that is fresh, filling, affordable and above all, delicious.”
Busy CBD workers will delight in the restaurant’s simple, speedy and sumptuous menu. From hearty baked clay-pots for a quick grab-and-go breakfast before work, to handmade felafel and quinoa salad with sumac enjoyed over lunch with friends, to a freshly made bread pocket brimming with marinated chicken and halloumi; Levant Eatery offers something for everyone.
“We wanted our customers to get a glimpse of the Middle East through the new location” says Husam, “eating at Levant Eatery is an experience, we want to showcase our heritage and allow people to engage with our culture through our food, family and design.”
Levant Eatery’s newest location can be found in the centre of the financial district at 70 Pirie Street. Open weekdays from 6:30am – 3pm, it is a must-try for all Adelaide foodies.
