Bakmi Lim Review

By Christie Thompson · On April 25, 2018

Situated almost right on the corner of Waymouth and King William Street is an Indonesian restaurant one step ahead of most in Adelaide. Bakmi Lim boasts a deliciously crafted build-your-own menu for every lover of Indonesian noodle salads, with one difference that makes them unique; they make their noodles from scratch.

The noodles at Bakmi Lim are not only made in-house, but it’s a tradition kept in the owner’s family for generations. The owner of the establishment, David Lim, originally from Jakarta, says he wanted to make the food as authentic as possible for his customers, “just how my dad always made them”.

The customer can opt for a traditional noodle or spinach infused noodles, with a range of different proteins and toppings, and a variety of mouth-watering sides including bao buns and delicious prawn wontons.

The Eventalaide team was treated to a tasting session, and we were impressed to say the least. The amount of love and care that goes into the preparation of every bowl was evident with every tantalising bite, and the portion sizes had us absolutely blown away.

You’ll be scoffing leftovers for the entire following day!

Thank you to the staff at Bakmi Lim for an excellent feed, we will definitely be back.
