February is all about Space – and as we take part in the official opening of the Australian Space Agency and the Smart Sat CRC at Lot Fourteen this morning – it’s clear that the excitement around the potential for the Space Industry in South Australia has never been higher.
Today Adelaide hosts the 9th Australian Space Forum. Attended by over 1000 people, the event continues to go from strength to strength, and it’s fantastic to be able to support an ever growing number of Australian entrepreneurs developing commercial propositions in everything from launch systems to earth observation.
This month we welcomed Italian satellite company Sitael, and startup EasyMile into the community at Lot Fourteen. If you are interested in learning more about autonomous vehicles i’d highly recommend checking out this event event next month.
Space is inherently global, and outside of South Australia Stone & Chalk residents are also shooting for the stars. Resident wins include Melbourne-based travel-tech Aeronology who are rapidly flying ahead signing contracts with Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines & United!
With even more exciting announcements still to come, it’s clear Space fever has hit Adelaide and is here to stay!
