The Promise movie review

By Tony Polese · On June 19, 2017

Set in 1914 Turkey, three lives will intertwine as the fog of war arrives on Turkey’s shores. The ethnic Armenian Michael leaves his village, family and future wife too commence his medical studies in Constantinople. While in Constantinople Michael will find true love in Ana and stories will intertwine as the Ottoman Empire crumbles and a love triangle unfolds. In the tradition of Titanic, The Promise sees a love story set against the backdrop of war and genocide unfold and heroes will be born.

The promise brings love, death, struggle and life to the big screen. Catch Christian Bale, Oscar Isaac and Charlotte Le Bon in the love story of the year in The Promise.
