The Commuter Review

By Tony Polese · On January 21, 2018

Liam Neeson absolutely delivers in this movie, it’s exactly what you’d expect and more! Although the same Liam Neeson as we’ve seen already before, we love him, a modern day super hero.
If you’ve seen Non Stop (with Liam as well and with the same director as this movie) and Unstoppable (not with Liam but still good) then put that into a blender and you get The Commuter!
Playing the part of Michael McCauley, an ex cop 10 years prior and now working as a business man, a once ‘action man’ is now a reguar dad living a regular life in his 60’s, when suddenly out of nowhere becomes hit by a devastating rough patch in his life which leaves him no hope for his future or family.. Then a mysterious woman appears on his daily commute.. and that’s when things start to get very strange. Offering him a proposition that will save him from his current desperation, to do something, something that that seems completely insignificant and meaningless, but with a reward of $100,000..
With his family now suddenly in danger, his own life at stake and everyone around him being killed one by one.. will he take up this offer, or has he already taken it up without even realising?…
A fast paced, suspenseful action thriller, this movie will leave you wondering about morals of life of what is right and wrong, and if saving the lives of many warrants killing the life of another.
As the story gets deeper, so do the perils he faces…
Who’s ‘really’ behind this offer, what is their motive, and how deep does the rabbit hole go?.. ‘The Commuter’ will have you guessing until the very end!
An enjoyable ride
