I was lucky to see this film based on Charles Dickens book ‘ A Christmas Carol’. There were many people at moonlight cinema to enjoy this movie on the Saturday night before Christmas. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the gold grass area( thanks to the manager), to make the experience even better.
The story line follows the life of the author of Charles Dickens in London in 1843. The movie was exceptional as the costumes, characters and scenery were like experiencing what the 1840’s were like.
The author was in financial difficulties and wanted to make sure this book would be extraordinary.
The book is written about scrooge who manages to come to life before the authors eyes, making the writing of the book easier and giving him the energy to keep on writing when he wanted to give up.
I enjoyed the movie as it makes you realise that we are lucky to live in this current era and to appreciate everything we have in our life. Our life is not only determined by what we have but who shares it with us. Family and friends are everything and not to be taken for granted.
If you like the classics, this film is for you. It might start off a bit slow but it gets better and enjoyable as it proceeds.
