2018 Adelaide Film Festival Review – World Shorts

By Tony Polese · On October 15, 2018

The sold out mercury cinema screened 8 movies each with a central character negotiating their realities of our contemporary world.

All these creatures. A young man’s understanding of his relationship with his father

A low hum.  New technologies part in human relationships.
Dressed for pleasure.  The intimate needs of a disabled young woman.
Fire in the city. (animation). An accident leads to disaster but heroic action saves the day.
Hair wolf. The appropriation of cultural traits and its affect on identity.
Home shopper. Painless consumerism painfully destroys a marriage.
They sleep inside your head.  Reality appears only when dreamers awaken.
Three centimetres.  Within a group of young female women one reveals she is gay.
A diverse selection of portraits. All outstanding  in their achievements. Shorts packed  with the talent to win  any premiership.
This review  was made possible thanks to the ( 95  min ) moment captured  through the lens of snapper j hound.
