On 19 and 20 October, Adelaide will once again welcome the free two-day festival, presented by Vogue Australia in partnership with the Rundle Mall Management Authority, the Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide and Unley, and the City of Adelaide.
Acting General Manager of the Rundle Mall Management Authority, Kate Fuss, says, “Vogue Australia has inspired national and global fashion for almost 60 years. It joins with South Australia’s most iconic fashion and lifestyle destination, Rundle Mall and Rundle Street, to bring the best of new season styles to Adelaide’s fashion industry, using Vogue Festival as a vehicle.”
In 2017, the inaugural Vogue Festival was a highlight of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, and brought Adelaide out in full fashion bloom for two stylish days of fashion, entertainment and celebration. With its epicentre in the iconic Rundle Mall, the festival saw over $45million in retail sales over the two-day event, engaging the local industry, boosting the economy and inspiring fashion lovers alike.
Following the incredible success of the inaugural event, Rundle Mall and Rundle Street will once again host the highly-anticipated 2018 programme. Bursting with runway shows, giveaways and meet and greets, Vogue Festival will be a triumphant showcase of Adelaide’s signature style.
This year’s event also brings the exciting addition of new supporting partner, David Jones – a fitting association between Australia’s leading department store and one of its most celebrated national events.
“As the leaders of Adelaide’s fashion industry, we are dedicated to delivering unique, creative, world-class fashion experiences,” says Kate Fuss.
“The fusion of South Australia’s biggest fashion players, David Jones and Rundle Mall, for Vogue Festival, as part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, represents a dynamic illustration of our local industry, and we are proud to showcase it all right here in Rundle Mall.”
In celebration of the partnership, David Jones Ambassador and international supermodel, Jessica Gomes, will be making her way to Adelaide for the Festival.
“We are delighted to be joining forces with Vogue Australia as the supporting partner of the 2018 Vogue Festival, where David Jones Rundle Mall will be brought to life with offers, activations and entertainment for our customers,” says David Jones General Manager of Womenswear and Accessories, Bridget Veals.
“Shoppers will have the chance to meet and mingle with ambassador Jessica Gomes and see her take on the exclusive new season trends available in store.”
Attendees will also be treated to hundreds of in-store offers, discounts and fashion experiences to become fully immersed in this glamorous occasion, which will be launched by Vogue Australia editor-in-chief, Edwina McCann.
“We are delighted to be hosting Vogue Festival for the second year as part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, it’s a wonderful opportunity to explore Adelaide’s premier shopping precinct,” says Edwina McCann.
“The introduction of David Jones as the supporting partner will mean an even greater experience for shoppers and further build on the success of the event. We can’t wait to see everyone there, shopping and experiencing everything Rundle Mall has to offer.”
New season spectacle and an array of fashion experiences will be on show in Rundle Mall and Rundle Street for two exclusive days between 19 and 20 October, 2018.
