Autumn Style Tricks From Instagram’s Most Famous Fashion Icons

By Tony Polese · On March 17, 2020

Summer has just about ended, and fall is upon us once again. This means we’re slowly placing our layers back on and experimenting with cosier styles, or else transitioning our favourite party frocks by adding some sensible leggings underneath.

As always, it’s Instagram’s most fashionable influencers that are paving the way towards a new and stylish season. Below are some influencer-approved tricks to land yourself brownie points amongst all your stylish friends.

Statement bags

While the fashion world awaits the arrival of the next ‘it’ bag to rule them all, fashion bloggers are taking it upon themselves to accessorise with luxe bags as a way to make a statement. If you’re still saving up for a Dior Saddle just like Sara Crampton’s, you may instead want to nab this Pop Sugar recommended ASOS croc handbag instead. The tortoiseshell handles make this bag an autumn staple, and the tangerine hue is just the right amount of flashy without being too overwhelming. Give your favorite canvas tote a break and switch to a handbag this season: your style game will increase tremendously.

Monochrome dressing

Take it from Margaret Zhang’s recent NYFW street style look — monochrome dressing is here to stay. Monochrome dressing has grown in popularity as a way to look instantly chic without cluttering your outfit. Bonus points if you choose to wear this look by dressing in simple cuts; for your bottoms, Woman Within’s knit trousers come in an array of monochrome hues that are paired with a straight cut. Whether you want to go for neutrals or dress head-to-toe in rich jewel tones, this outfit trick shows you’re in the know on the timeless trends.

Tiered dresses

Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean you have to put away your dresses! In fact, tiered maxi dresses are the next big trend, especially as its silhouette casts a dreamy and feminine silhouette. Going for a simple white frock like Aicha Robertson speaks volumes on its own (pardon the pun), but those who want to go for a full-on fall look can instead opt for dark florals. This ruffled midi from & Other Stories features gorgeous purple and pink flowers against a black background. This dress style goes well with both short and long-sleeved dresses, so the choice really depends on you!

White shoes

White clothes are always going to be a fashion staple, but for this season we’re looking at dazzling white shoes to cap off any look. Jenni Eyles’ sparkling white Chelsea boots are a breath of fresh air compared to the usual cognac and black styles that pop out this time of the year. If you’re someone who opts for trainers instead, maybe consider putting your well-loved Vans and Chucks through the wash to give them a shiny new look.

Here at Eventalaide we know that fashion is a great form of self-expression. The best fashion tip is to make these style hacks work for you, because that’s how your true self is going to really shine!
