After 10 years of operation, Australian activewear giant, Ryderwear, is taking their headquarters to the next level. The Adelaide business has recently moved into their new home – a purpose-built two-storey facility with extensive in-house creative features.
The move is indicative of Ryderwear’s unprecedented success in both the local and global activewear market. From humble beginnings in his grandmother’s garage, owner, David Lukic, has grown Ryderwear to an international powerhouse with an average growth in revenue of 81 percent over the past three years.
“We have enjoyed good success domestically and in exports, but it’s been a lot of hard work getting there,” Lukic says, “the new HQ is a culmination of the dedication and passion of the Ryderwear team. It reflects our expansion as a brand and cements our presence in South Australia and on the global stage.”
The vision behind the new Ryderwear HQ was to develop an inspired hub that incorporates all elements of the business’ creative process, from cutting-edge design, to fabric technology and videography. Each of these elements are exclusively in-house, with no outsourcing of designers, social marketing or content creation.
Ryderwear’s dynamic HQ is an unlike any other platform in South Australia. The space represents a fusion of local skills and world-class talent, bringing together the world’s biggest bodybuilders with local South Australian social media influencers. The new HQ will encourage and attract creatives from all over the world to come to Adelaide to collaborate with local talent.
“Don’t let our small population limit or discourage you from becoming hugely successful as an entrepreneur. There is so much opportunity in South Australia and a huge talent pool of creative people,” says David Lukic.
The new warehouse and office facility is expected to accommodate Ryderwear’s inevitable future growth, as the brand continues to cement itself as a major player in the competitive world of performance activewear. The company aims to employ 55 new staff by the end of 2018, with projections of growing the team to 150 in the next two to three years.
Ryderwear celebrated their new HQ with an exclusive launch party. Hosted on the first floor of the building, the event showcased everything the new 800sqm open plan space has to offer, including a photo and video studio, mezzanine, auditorium and break out spaces for meetings and conferences.
