Adelaide Fringe Review – Courtney Act “Under the Covers”

By Tony Polese · On February 19, 2018

We arrived early to see “Under the Covers” by drag queen superstar Courtney Act.  Luckily we were early in line as we secured a perfect position in the third row for this sold out show (show was sold out the night before too).

The stage was set up as a bedroom and she started the show coming from under the covers.  She is sheer perfection and her costumes were amazing.

I enjoyed how she interacted with the audience and her singing was incredible.  Her songs were covers from other artists (hence the title “Under the Covers”)  She makes Australia proud as not only is she a great entertainer, but her worldly knowledge is fantastic.

The two shows at the Adelaide Fringe were sold out and I can understand why.  I was very priviledged to see her show, and look forward to the next one as Courtney never disappoints.
