I had the amazing opportunity to see the Cabaret show ‘The Girl from Oz’ which starred Courtney Act.
I had a great seating allocation and I knew it would be a great show, judging from the audience who were all excited to be there.
As I am an avid fan of Ru Pauls Drag Race season 6, I am a great admirer of Courtney Act. She starred on Australian Idol and went to declare when asked if she was a girl, that she was an unreal girl.
Courtney Act looked amazing when stepping out on stage in ruby roller skates singing Zanadu which cleverly included Adelaide in the lyrics. She stated that singing this song could only be done in roller skates as Olivia Newton John had done.
Her singing throughout the show was amazing, her references to the male exports to USA where she is now based was hilarious. As the Hemsworth brothers had taken many employment opportunities from the Americans.
The show was full of laughter, singing, great costume changes and overall the beautiful Courtney Act was so inspirational as she not only looks sensational but is proud to be an Australian and loves being in the land down under.
The audience was clapping, singing and enjoying every minute and it was a great atmosphere to be included in. She interacted with the crowd and also kept everyone wanting more.
I was lucky enough to review this show for Eventalaide, and it is a show that deserves every great review it receives. Courtney Act has gone far in show business and I can see why. Not only is she confident, beautiful, talented, funny but humble as well. She met her fans after the show for photo and autographs which was a highlight for many fans.
Thank you to the Adelaide Cabaret for bringing such amazing talent to Adelaide and for letting Eventalaide to review such a awesome show.
