Adelaide Cabaret Festival Review – Briefs: Close Encounters

By Tony Polese · On June 13, 2017

The Briefs boys are back in town with their latest offering “Close Encounters” following their successful stint at the Adelaide Fringe earlier in the year.  Know for their lewd and sexually gratuitous performances on stage it was good to see an evolution in their style more in keeping with the sophisticated intimacy of the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent.
This truly is Close Encounters of the Brief replete with spaceship, wacky space costumes and lots of male briefs which don’t necessarily stay on during the show.  Expect crude humour mixed in with dance, boylesque, acrobatics and death defying circus spins which makes for a rocket fueled show to take you out of this world and into another galaxy.
