`Beauty and the Beast is a ballet production that warms your heart even on a cold May night.
The Victorian State Ballets ‘Beauty & the Beast’ featuring a top cast of leading classical ballet artists from across Australia and abroad made a return to Adelaide this week to the Dunstan Playhouse.
This production is based on both the original tale by French novelist Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve and the screenplay for Disney by Linda Woolverton, bringing to life a captivating display of the beloved characters from one of the most loved fairy tale classics.
This ballet production by Victorian State Ballet is perfect for the entire family which was evident from the ages of the audience in the venue which ranged from little aspriring ballerinas, right through to grandparents enjoying a lovely night out.
The production is full of amazing vibrant colour and a musical score that is wonderful in every sense. The costumes are beautiful and the choreography is delivered with perfection.
I was enthralled right from the beginning of the production, progressing through memorable moments, to the emotional transformation, the grand waltz, and to the wonderful happily ever after final scenes.
Having heard first timers to the Ballet saying that they loved the production, this is a perfect ballet production to witness if you have never been to the ballet before.
And get your cameras ready with an unexpected bonus of having the cast greet us in the Dunstan Playhouse foyer. (see photo in article).
Bravo to the Victorian State Ballet for such a moving, enthralling, and wonderful ballet production that is Beauty and the Beast.
