Movie Review – Spider-Man: Far From Home

By Tony Polese · On July 5, 2019

Ironman is gone and everyone wants a new hero and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is that reluctant hero. As the title states Spiderman: Far From Home is far from home when all the mayhem and destruction takes place. This time set in Europe as Parker takes a school trip with his friends and wants to take a break from being a super hero. Of course, that was never going to happen.

General of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is determined to get Parker to take on the responsibility of being the saviour of the free world. Parker has other intentions and just wants to be a regular teenager spending time with his friend and pursuing his love interest MJ (Zendaya).

The return of regulars like Parkers best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and Ironman’s right hand man Happy (Jon Favreau) who is in love with Parker’s Aunt (Marisa Tomei) who play their parts in helping Spiderman save the world from Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

There’s plenty of action scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat and Tom Holland is awkward yet loveable as Peter Parker and heroic as Spiderman. This instalment of Spiderman takes you on a ride around the world with lots of twists and turns in the storyline that will keep you guessing.

Does Peter Parker accept his responsibilities as the next superhero saviour? This and many more answers and questions are raised making it another exciting Marvel movie for fans. Make sure you stay til the end credits as more is revealed!

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now screening at Event Cinemas
