MATCH REVIEW PANEL

  • Port Adelaide ruckman Billy Frampton has accepted a two-match ban with an early guilty plea for striking South Adelaide’s Joel Cross at Alberton Oval on Saturday.
  • West Adelaide recruit Dallas Willsmore has accepted a one-match ban with an early guilty plea for striking North Adelaide midfielder Aidan Tropiano at Prospect Oval on Saturday.
  • North Adelaide captain Max Thring has accepted a $200 fine and reprimand with an early guilty plea for engaging in rough conduct with West Adelaide’s John Noble at Prospect Oval on Saturday.
  • South Adelaide veteran Joel Cross has accepted a $200 fine and reprimand with an early guilty plea for striking Port Adelaide’s Jack Trengove at Alberton Oval on Saturday.

ROUND TWO RAA ROOKIES

SANFL’s rewarding of Community Football Clubs for fostering talent will continue in 2019 through the RAA Rookies program. For each League debutant from SA, their chosen Community Football Club receives $500.

The round two RAA Rookies were:

James Schwarz (North) Flinders Park FC
Kysaiah Pickett (Eagles) Port District FC
Dylan Stephens (Norwood) Walkerville FC

ROUND TWO POWERADE BREAKTHROUGH PLAYER

The round two Powerade Breakthrough Player nominees are:

Will Gould (Glenelg) – In just his second game of League football, the 18-year-old Tigers defender collected 19 disposals, 13 of which were contested. Using the ball at an impressive 84% efficiency rate, Gould also had five rebound 50s in his team’s win against Adelaide.

Hayden Sampson (South) – The clever forward was at his elusive best in his team’s win against Port, often finding space and applying pressure inside attacking 50m. The son of former South captain Clay Sampson, Hayden finished with 18 disposals and six inside 50s.

James Schwarz (North) – In his Statewide Super League debut, Schwarz racked up 19 disposals, three marks, two clearances and four inside 50s. The 23-year-old is the younger brother of Roosters premiership midfielder Tom Schwarz.

The Round two Powerade Breakthrough Player will be announced during Channel 7’s telecast of the Glenelg v South Adelaide clash from 1pm on Saturday.

ROUND TWO U18 TORRENS UNIVERSITY CUP MVP

This week’s Torrens Uni MVP nominee is North Adelaide’s Harrison Magor. Originally from Port Pirie, Magor tallied 33 disposals, seven marks and six clearances in the Roosters’ win against the Bloods.

ROUND SEVEN POWERADE BREAKTHROUGH PLAYER

The round seven SANFL Women’s Powerade Breakthrough Player is Eagles forward Kiana Lee. Originally from the Rosewater Football Club, Lee registered a team high 13 disposals, three marks, three tackles and two goals against Sturt on Saturday.
