I had the pleasure of seeing Christopher Robbin at the GU film house at Glenelg. It is a new cinema and has comfy seats, make sure you check it out.
I was surprised to see many adults that were 40+ watching this movie. I guess they wanted to relive their childhood.
It started with Christopher Robbin receiving a farewell party from all his friends, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore to name a few. He was leaving the country cottage and moving to the city with his family.
He was sad to depart but had no choice.
Time flew by and he attended boarding school, then was married and had a daughter. He did not spend much time with his daughter as his workload was ever increasing.
Meanwhile Winnie the Pooh was extremely missing him He decided to find him, it was quite touching and funny when they met.
It was quite humble and nurturing. This movie reminds us that true friends do not disappear but appear when we least expect them too. The connection is never lost but remains strong forever.
It will suit older children or adults as small children will not understand the dialogue and storyline.
I give the movie 8/10 as I liked the moral of the movie.
