KIWI SUPERCARS LEGEND GREG MURPHY TO RETURN IN ‘FANBASSADOR’ ROLE AS HE GOES ALL IN FOR THE 2024 VAILO ADELAIDE 500

By Tony Polese · On October 25, 2024

The milestone 25th VAILO Adelaide 500 will feature New Zealand Supercars Star Greg Murphy going ALL IN for the event as ‘Fanbassador’ in 2024.

‘Murph’ has accumulated over 400 Supercars race starts and 28 race wins during his incredible tenure at the wheel including finishing runner-up in the inaugural two-part event in Adelaide 1999.

Respected by Kiwi and Australian fans, ‘Murph’ will connect with Supercars fans by providing his point-of-view on the racing and rivalries as well as bringing them behind-the-scenes content as the Supercars season finale unfolds.

‘Murph’ will share his expert analysis at the end of each day’s on-track action across the VAILO Adelaide 500’s social media channels and engage fans during the event with guest interviews and Q and A sessions.

He will also appear at hospitality suites at the event, as well as the much anticipated 25 Years Legends Luncheon with tickets available for both.

2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 Fanbassador Greg Murphy said: “I am excitedly looking forward to being part of the 25-year celebrations for the iconic and much-loved event.

“I was fortunate enough to race in the inaugural event in 1999, and it is still one of my most memorable podium experiences thanks to the amazing atmosphere created by the incredibly enthusiastic fans”.

“The current Repco Supercars Championship has been an enthralling watch in 2024, and with it tight at the top of the driver’s standings it’s likely to go down to the streets of Adelaide as the decider. Supercars fans are so passionate, so I’m looking forward to getting amongst it and going ALL IN for the entertainment that’s on and off track”.

‘Murph’ has close ties to several of the current Kiwi Stars in the Supercars Championship and co-hosts the weekly Sky Speed on Sky TV in New Zealand, ensuring he’ll have the best knowledge and expertise to bring to fans in his role as ‘Fanbassador’.

Fans are encouraged to join ‘Murph’ at the November four day event and also tune into the VAILO Adelaide 500’s social media channels to follow his expert analysis after each day of action-packed racing and entertainment.

The VAILO Adelaide 500 will be held 14 – 17 November, 2024. Tickets on sale now at Ticketmaster. For more information, visit adelaide500.com.au
