Christmas Proms

The annual Christmas proms was held in the lead up to Christmas at Her Majesty’s Theatre this year, with its bigger sister, The Festival Theatre being occupied by Singing in the Rain.
It was to be my first proms and I was looking forward to getting into the Christmas spirit with the help of this show.
I thought the show was broken up nicely with solo’s, dancing, duet numbers, and even interviews to learn more about the artists plans for Christmas and 2017.
You can sense the experience of the MC in hosting this show. He does the role with such professionalism, balanced with a relaxed presence.
Stephen Mahy (Grease the Musical, Jersey Boys) has such a smooth and enchanting voice.
Jazz chanteuse Emma Pask is a delight. The entire GATSBY theme of 20’s elegance made this a very entertaining show.
And to the chance to sing classic Christmas carols, this show reminded me how magical Chrismas is and Christmas Proms definitely got me into the Christmas spirit.
