Foyer Fridays Final Show

By Tony Polese · On September 14, 2020

FOYER FRIDAYS TO GO OUT WITH A BANG
WITH OUR FINAL SHOW OF 2020!

Longer days and warmer nights equal perfect live music weather, so make sure you make your way to Woodville Town Hall this Friday for our final live and local music event, Foyer Fridays, of 2020. And we’ve saved the best for last.

This Friday (September 18), be captivated by the supremely talented Nancy Bates who will headline our final show of the year. The singer-songwriter is a proud Barkindji Woman who released her acclaimed album For Your Love in 2019. A frequent collaborator of Archie Roach, Nancy will be joined by Seabass’ Annie Siegmann and Ryan Martin John for this special live performance. This trio of musicians is a music lover’s dream with their carefully arranged acoustic strings and three-part harmonies that will leave you drenched in beautiful melody and lyric. Nancy is looking forward to gracing the Foyer Fridays stage with her collaborators.

“With Covid restrictions in Victoria, NSW and QLD rendering live music venues dormant, I am so very humbled to perform alongside Annie Siegmann and Ryan Martin John for Foyer Fridays at Woodville Town Hall,” Nancy says of her upcoming performance.  “I would expect something very special next Friday, because vocally and musically, we connect, and we connect with our audience – that’s what music is for. South Australia has some of the best songmakers in the world, and I will be on stage with two of our best, Annie and Ryan.”

Joining Nancy on the line-up are Paul Macleod, of Aussie blues outfit Holler & The Bones, and emerging singer/songwriter Katie Aspel,  a proud Ngarrindjeri woman from Raukkan, who is studying at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM).We can’t think of a better line-up of musicians to close Foyer Fridays’ 2020 season. This will be one to remember. To reserve your spot, head to our eventbrite page. The best part? It’s free! But make sure you register so you don’t miss out.
Doors will open at 5pm. Aside from the music we’ll have some food and drink options for you to enjoy, including a selection of hand-picked spirits to the bar menu to shake things up, including Gordon’s Gin (G&T, anyone?!). We’ll also be serving our regular range of local beer and wine, cheese platters and light snacks.

If you can’t make it, don’t worry! You can check out the free live stream here.
