The Invisible Man (2020) is one of the most entertaining, edge of your seat movies of the year! Staring Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid’s Tale) as Cecilia Kass, escapes on the run for her life as her psychotic and obsessive ex boyfriend stalks her and attempts to ruin her life, you’ll feel your heart beat out your chest.
For a dramatic thriller, this movie is quite intense.Is her ex boyfriend really stalking her? Is it all in her head? Her ex boyfriend is pronounced dead, so is she crazy?I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. As many adaptations of this story have been made, I have seen one of the original movies and this is by far the best. Elisabeth Moss’s acting is exceptional and realistic.
Every scene in this movie is very well done, there is no filler.This movie follows the psychological thought and behaviour of an abusive, horrifying relationship, and is very cleverly made, with perfect camera work and directing by Australian, Leigh Whannell, one of the pioneers of modern horror.Although not blatant horror, because of its potential realism, clever storytelling that made you feel what the characters felt, whether it be pain or sadness or relief, this movie is terrifying and exciting, and for that, I enjoyed it very much.
And the ending, well that will knock you out for six.
